Celes walked along, still unsure of where she was going or how in the world she was going to find what she needed. She was hungry, she missed her friends, and she was tired of sleeping on the dirty pavement.
She had spent her last night in an alley with several children who appeared to be orphans. Despite offering to heal them, they had wordlessly chosen to keep their distance. How sad, she thought. This city must really be heartless. Even Vector had had more soul than this place.
Cloud walked along the streets of Edge, a small clipboard in his hand. He was ticking numbers around in his head, adding, subtracting. It was a form for all his business expenses and how much overhead he was left with. Things weren’t looking so hot, really, but he had a sizeable stash of Gil left over from his adventuring days.
He turned the corner to find a strange blonde woman wandering around completely lost. As he was something of an expert on Edge, he slipped the clipboard into his pack and raised an eyebrow at the odd woman.
“You lost?”
